What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, aka, “counseling” or “talk therapy”, is a collaborative and confidential process. The primary goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can openly explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. Research suggests that the benefits of psychotherapy are not only immediate but also extend into the long term.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re facing emotional challenges, struggling with relationships, or seeking personal growth, therapy can provide tools, support, and a safe space to help you navigate your journey.

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer individual, family, and couples therapy, specializing in clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

For now, I only offer virtual services through Telehealth (with video) to accommodate your preferences and schedule.

What should I expect during my first session?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes, though longer or shorter sessions may be available upon request.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

Session fees vary depending on the type of service provided. Please contact me for specific pricing information.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, insurance is accepted. Contact us to see which insurance companies we are in network with. Some of these insurances include United Healthcare, Aetna, Oxford, Oscar, Cigna, Florida Blue.

Is what I share in therapy confidential?

Yes! With exceptions for situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if legally mandated.

What issues can you help with?

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflict, stress management, life transitions, and more.

What age ranges and populations do you work with?

I work with all age ranges and populations. I am certified as a youth mental health professional and have experience working with children and adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Can you help with trauma recovery?

Yes, I am a certified trauma specialist and use evidence-based approaches to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences.

How often should I attend therapy?

The frequency depends on your goals and needs, but most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust over time.

Can I stop therapy whenever I want?

Absolutely. Therapy is voluntary, and you can discuss ending or pausing treatment whenever you feel ready.

What if I don't feel comfortable with my therapist?

The therapeutic relationship is important. If you don’t feel comfortable, I encourage you to share your concerns so we can address them or explore other options together.
